Finally, the new 350 long-block arrived, and it was time to do The Swap.  Each day was hotter and smoggier than the one before.  The trailer park management, working nose-in-crack with the UCI Housing Dept., had established a "no overnight parking in the trailer park" regulation.  However, there was no enforcement mechanism other than personal pleas by the sellout IMW manager (in addition, the campus being state property, there were no state laws on the subject), so I pulled the hood off, fit exactly 8 cans of cheap beer (the maximum) in my trailer's 1/2-cubic-foot refrigerator, and got ready to do the swap.
